Living Systems Connections
Objective: Students will identify what a system is and develop relationships between living and nonliving things and their habitat. Students will understand the connections between living things, nonliving things, and their habitat.
Materials:
- Ball of yarn
- large index cards or construction paper
-Pins or string
- "Oak Tree" by Gordon Morrison
Events of Instruction:
1. Read "Oak Tree" by Gordon Morrison and ask students questions about what the living things needed to survive. Same/different things for animals.
2. Conduct "Habitat Web" activity.
